... before now...

... we arrived in Hong Kong first on Sunday 15th March... to spend a week here sorting out our visas for China and dipping our toes in the Oriental pool... Hong Kong is a nice introduction to the East... it's a lively city... modern... efficient... and there are many people who speak English to help you on your way...

... recommended things to do in Hong Kong... hmmm...

  1. Stay in The Harbour Plaza Hong Kong... this beautiful hotel is situated in Hung Hom beside Tsim Sha Tsui and opposite Hong Kong Central... its so fabulous and lush... with an amazing roof top swimming pool over looking Hong Kong and miles above the noise and hustle of the city...
  2. Visit the Peak... a spot miles above the city... with the most rewarding and amazing view of Hong Kong...
  3. Spend a day in Disneyland Hong Kong... its so much fun and really cheap... and easy to get there by bus... so definitely... if you go to Hong Kong... go to Disneyland...
... getting a visa was really hassle free and simple... just go to the Embassy... fill in the forms... and come back the next day... oh and pay... but its 400 HKD... so about 40euro for the express service...
